Professor Giorgio Franco qualified in medicine and surgery in 1980 from Sapienza University. He specialized in Urology in 1985 and General surgery in 1990.
Prof. Giorgio Franco has experience in research and clinical practice on treatment with erectile dysfunction, infertility, microsurgery, penile prosthesis implantation, benign prostatic hypertrophy, urodynamics, urological endoscopy and oncological urology.
In 2010, he was Awarded FAS (Male Infertility Surgery) at the U.Bracci University Urology Department, Sapienza, Rome.
Prof. Franco is president of the Italian Society of Andrology (SIA) from 2013 to 2016.
In 2020, he accepted the Head of the Department of Urology position at Policlinico Umberta 1, Sapienza Training Hospital, Rome, Italy.
Professor Giorgio Franco is the author or co-author of more than 130 Scopus-cited scientific publications, 32 book chapters, and a scientific book.
