PROFESSOR CARLO BETTOCCHI

Professor Carlo Bettocchi is an experienced surgeon and expert in male sexual dysfunction, infertility and gender dysphoria.

Prof. Carlo Bettocchi has been a professor of Urology since 2008. His research career and clinical activities have included positions in other European urological departments, such as Maastricht Academic Hospital, the Netherlands, Middlesex Hospital UCLH and Hospital King's College, UK. Since 2015, he has worked at the Male Health International Surgical Center (MHISC), based in Geneva (Switzerland), the center of excellence in Europe for male genital reconstructive surgery.

Since 2021, he has been Chief of the Andrology and Male Genitalia Reconstructive Surgery Unit, Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences at Policlinico Riuniti—University of Foggia, Italy.

Prof. Bettocchi has produced, as an author, more than 300 publications in national and international journals, chapters of books and national magazines. He is reviewer of several international scientific journals and has been a principal investigator or investigator on several protocols in the field of uro-andrology.

He has been a member of the EAU panel for Guidelines on "Male Hypogonadism" (2011-2018) and now he is member of the EAU panel for Guidelines on "Sexual and Reproductive Health" since 2018.

Prof. Bettocchi has been appointed as Chairman of EAU Section of Andrology (ESAU) in April 2024 and he is currently past President of the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM) after 3 years of presidency (2020-2023)
